Methodology
This training will incorporate two titles in one and will consists on
50% lecture and 50% hands-on. This training will be a very ‘student-centered’
training whereby participants are required to be active and reflective to all
the activities during the training. At the first session of the training,
participants will be introduced to the idea of 21st Century
learning, which include the 21st Century Educator, 21st
Century Learners and 21st Century teaching and learning environment.
Then, participants will be introduced to various teaching strategies that based
on different instructional models. The participant will then evaluate the
strategies and suggest on how the teaching strategies could be implemented in
their own 21st Century teaching and learning environment.
Participants will be provided with comprehensive online resources to be used
during and after the workshop. The resources will be accessible prior to the
training. There will also be a before-training task to be done by the participants
prior to the training (will be informed 2-3 days before training)

Workshop Requirements
21st Century Learning is about changing the Digital
Immigrants (educators) approach towards teaching and learning of the Digital
Natives (students). As such, this training will require 50% hands-on activities
involving information, media, and digital technology. Usually this type of
training will be required to be conducted in a computer lab equipped with
computers and internet access to the participants. However, if computer lab is
not available, the training can be conducted in any venue (e.g. Conference Room,
Seminar Room, etc), participants need to bring their own laptops. The venue
should be a place with good Internet access.
